Oceania Cruises has just launched an entirely new concept in wellness cruises – the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center, a comprehensive spa and wellness centre that will be introduced across six of their cruise ships between December 2019 and January 2020, writes Mala McAlpin.
The centre aims to go beyond a traditional spa, offering a complete collection of popular holistic wellness treatments and encounters both on board and ashore, which will support all facets of wellness and encourage a lifestyle of health and longevity.
Offerings at the spa range from Himalayan salt stone massage and acupuncture to anti-wrinkle treatments. Unique wellness offerings and holistic sessions include:
Wellness & Mindfulness at Viña Casa Marin
This unique experience pairs yoga, pranayama breathing and mindful meditation with a gourmet luncheon at a picturesque boutique winery, Viña Casa Marin, where guests will also learn about its history and micro-terroirs.
The Wonders of Apitherapy
At a beekeeping farm in the picturesque Andalusian countryside, guests will discover the myriad advantages of apitherapy, which focuses on the many benefits of honeybee products, such as raw honey, pollen, royal jelly and even bee venom. The resident apitherapy specialist will illustrate the benefits of each product, from boosting the immune system to alleviating pain.
Guests can enjoy healthy and flavourful Aquamar Vitality Cuisine in The Grand Dining Room in addition to extensive plant-based and vegetarian dishes. Freshly pressed juices, smoothies and energy bowls are also served at the only cold-pressed Raw Juice & Smoothie Bars at sea.
Fitness Classes & Personal Training
Complimentary fitness classes, access to the state-of-the-art fitness centre and customised personal training sessions are on offer, alongside complimentary fitness classes like yoga, pilates, cycling and circuit-based training.
For Kiwis wanting to discover the exciting new facilities, the Regatta will be debuting the new spa when she embarks on the 14-day ‘Outrageous Outback’ voyage from Sydney to New Zealand on January 6th 2020.
